As you make your new year's resolutions, and predict what fortunes 2012 may bring, Encounters prepares for big changes in the festival office with new dates, new staff and new ideas on the horizon.
In early 2012 we will welcome a new Short Film Programmer to the festival, with Mark Cosgrove taking his new position as Artistic Director. Sadly we will be saying goodbye to Festival Coordinator Mireia O'Prey and will be recruiting a new Marketing & Events Coordinator- an exciting new opportunity for anyone with a way with words and experience of event coordination. And most importantly the festival is moving dates next year, to our new slot between 18 - 23 September 2012. Submissions will open at the beginning of March so stay tuned for early submission dates and deadlines.
With all this plus another edition of the 0117 Hour Film Challenge filmmaking competition, and the Solar Powered Outdoor Cinema which returns next summer, it's going to be a busy year!
