Explore and discover what's on at the 17th Bristol Encounters International Film Festival, right here. For 2011, we have teamed up with festival scheduling service Festival Genius to provide the most versatile and easy to use scheduling system to help you plan your visit to Encounters. Flick through the programmes, events and trailers, and create your own calendar of activity to make the most out your visit to this year's festival. For all those with a smart phone, if you download the Festival Genius App you can select Encounters Festival from the list and manage your calender right from your phone. Join in the debate with comments and links to your favourite social networking sites, and help the festival spread the word by telling your friends and family about events that you think they might like. Tickets are also now on sale for all events. After launching the new Delegate Registration service on Tuesday, the festival experienced some technical problems which we are working hard to resolve by the end of the week. Call for Festival VolunteersDeadline: 14 October
Each year the festival relies on the help of its volunteers, and without this level of dedication the festival would not be possible. We offer a variety of positions and roles including greeting delegates and filmmakers, managing guest lists, supporting marketing and print transport staff, and more. Volunteering at the festival can prove to be a valuable experience and exposure to those trying to break into the industry. For more information and how to apply here.
